The Central Roadracing Association launched its 2005 season at Brainerd International Raceway in perfect Minnesota style with cold temps and snow flurries. Despite the conditions, racing was fierce with many top Midwestern riders, including current points leader for experts, Larry Denning. Other notables with the top finishes for the weekend include Adam Dolney, Eric Haugo, Jace Porter, Jay Bryant, and Joseph Gill. The CRA also held a New Riders School and introduced another thirty new riders to the most intimidating track in North America with its mile-long straightaway and 150mph plus Turn One. The CRA boasts one of the finest volunteer staffs in the country. Despite the cold weather and snow flurries, volunteers braved the conditions to ensure the safety of all. Next round of racing for the CRA will be at the Midamerica Motorplex (Council Bluffs, IA), May 20-22, 2005, with Brainerd International Raceway to follow on June 17-19, 2005.
