Australia’s premier motorcycle endurance event, the 6 Hour at Oran Park, has confirmed that the Cudlin brothers, Damian and Alex, will contest the race aboard the Dean Evans Revolution/Central Coast Performance Cycle Centre, Yamaha R1. Racing in Australia for the first time in 5 years, Damian, the former #3 World Endurance Championship campaigner says he’s excited at the prospect of racing the 6 Hour and is looking forward to the challenge. “I’m really glad I’ll get the opportunity to be part of such an historic event in Australian motorcycle racing.” Damian said. “I’m also excited to be riding for Dean Evans from Link International, who was my first real sponsor. It was his R1 I used to win my first SBK race at a rainy Eastern Creek all those years ago, and it’s going to be a lot of fun knocking around with him again. Big Rob from Central Coast Performance is another great guy working on this, and with Frank Pons joining us from Biketek, I think we’ll have a competitive package come Sunday. I can’t wait for this race, it should be a blast.” Younger brother Alex, will also make a competitive return to Australian soil, the former Australasian Superstock Champion and World Endurance regular will saddle up with his big brother for a shot at 6 Hour honors. “I’m really pumped to be racing in Australia again. I had my first ever senior road race at Oran Park when I was 16, so it’s only fitting that I compete at the last ever race being held there.” Alex explained. “Dean Evans has given us the opportunity to do well at this race by supplying a good bike and crew. I can’t wait to get out on track, race the Aussie talent once more, and see what sort of result we can get.” The 6 Hour, the last ever motorcycle event at Oran Park, will be held next weekend 20/21/22nd of November.
