A 20 mph crash while training on his road bicycle may have shredded the skin off Larry Pegram’s arm but it will not prevent him from participating in tonight’s AMA Grand National dirt track at the Indy Mile. Pegram told Roadracingworld.com that he was 30 miles into a 60-mile ride near his home in Baltimore, Ohio on Wednesday, August 26 when he crashed. “I was sweating a lot and my hands were wet,” said Pegram. “I was reaching down to get my water bottle when I hit a bump and went down.” Pegram said he immediately cleaned his open wounds with his water bottle, did not seek professional medical treatment and would be able to ride his Ducati-powered dirt tracker in tonight’s Lucas Oil Indy Mile AMA Grand National dirt track race at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
