Dakar: Benavides Tops Tight Stage Five

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Luciano Benavides won the fifth stage of the 2025 Dakar rally, finishing the 492 kilometer (305 mile) segment in 4:53.00, just 47 seconds ahead of Monster Energy Honda HRC’s Adrien van Beveren. Americans Ricky Brabec and Skyler Howes were fifth and sixth, while Americans Jacob Argubright and Mason Klein were 14th and 42nd. Daniel Sanders retained the overall lead, seven minutes and two seconds ahead of Tosha Schareina.
