Anthony Kosinski Joins TOBC Racing
Indiana-based rider to race MotoAmerica Superstock 1000
Anthony Kosinski, a third-year pro rider from South Bend, Indiana, will join the powerful TOBC Racing squad in 2017. Kosinski will contest MotoAmerica’s Superstock 1000 class aboard the No. 63 TOBC Racing Yamaha R1.
Kosinski, 25, emerged after a brief and successful club racing career and made his professional MotoAmerica debut in 2015. Last year was his first full season of racing in MotoAmerica. He raced under the tutelage of legendary AMA Superbike racer Dale Quarterley on the Quarterley Racing On Track Development squad.
Kosinski finished ranked 13th nationally in the 2016 MotoAmerica Bazzaz Superstock 1000 Series. He scored six top-10 finishes, including a season-best eighth at Virginia International Raceway.
“We are happy to welcome Anthony on board to team alongside Danny Eslick with TOBC Racing this year,” said TOBC Racing’s team owner Michelle Lindsay. “We’ve watched his growth as a young racer in the last couple of seasons and feel he has a great deal of promise.”
Kosinski is excited about the prospect of racing for one of the leading teams in the MotoAmerica paddock.
“The opportunity to race for TOBC Racing has me really exciting for the 2017 season,” Kosinski said. “This team has established itself as a proven winner and I hope to take my racing skills to the next level under the TOBC tent. Having a championship-winning teammate like Danny Eslick is going to be a great boost to my career. I plan on listening and learning as much as I can from him. This will be my second full season of pro racing and I have goals and I think I’ll have a much greater chance of obtaining those goals with TOBC.”
TOBC Racing is the proud winner of the 2015 Daytona 200, finished 2nd overall in the 2015 MotoAmerica 1000cc Superstock Championship, and won the 2014 AMA Supersport Championship.
It is a professional privately funded team focused primarily on the MotoAmerica Championship as well as the support of Amateur Road Racing in the United States. TOBC focuses on developing, growing, and maintaining the careers of younger racers through the National Endurance, Team Challenge, and Sprint Series hosted by CCS, WERA, CMRA, ASRA, and now MotoAmerica.
The 2017 MotoAmerica season kicks off at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, on April 20-23. The MotoAmerica races will be national televised on beIN Sports.
