Riders for Health, the official charity of MotoGP, and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, have announced that 50 VIP guests will spend the day meeting MotoGP stars, touring the MotoGP paddock, and discovering the stunning Carmel Valley. Day of Stars is held on Thursday, July 21st, before the Red Bull US Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. And, as well as getting your race weekend off to the best possible start, you will be raising money for Riders for Health. This fantastic, day-long event is hosted by grand prix legend and co-founder of Riders for Health, Randy Mamola, who will be your guide to an entertaining insider’s view of the world of MotoGP. There are only 50 tickets available, making this an extremely exclusive and intimate event. Day of Stars always sells out early, so make sure you don’t miss out. Tickets for Day of Stars cost $500, which includes a $375 tax deductable donation to Riders for Health. Day of Stars begins with a beautiful motorcycle tour of Carmel Valley. You will the return for a catered lunch before taking an exclusive tour of pit lane with 13-time grand prix winner, Randy Mamola. In the afternoon, you will take to the track as you ride two parade laps of the famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca circuit, before heading back to the Turn 4 suite for interviews with team managers, MotoGP riders and special guests. In previous years, guests have met such greats as Grand Prix champions Kenny Roberts, Eddie Lawson, and Wayne Rainey and MotoGP stars, including Colin Edwards, Ben Spies, Tony Elias, Marco Melandri, Randy De Puniet and Loris Capirossi. The day is rounded off with an amazing live auction of MotoGP memorabilia. The MotoGP riders will be on hand to autograph and auction off some truly unique items with all the proceeds going to Riders for Health. Admission to the auction is free so even those not coming to the whole day can take part. Day of Stars is a benefit event for Riders for Health, an international non-profit organization that mobilizes health workers in Africa with reliable motorcycles so that they can reach rural communities with essential health care services.
