BRANDON PAASCH AND CHRONIC MOTORSPORTS TO DONATE WINNINGS FROM DAYTONA 200 TO FAMILY OF LLOYD BAYLEY

Brandon Paasch is pleased to announce that he will donate half of his winnings earned during the 2021 Daytona 200 motorcycle race to the family of Lloyd Bayley, and that Chronic Motorsports will match the amount donated.  Bayley tragically lost his life at Homestead-Miami Speedway during an ASRA sanctioned motorcycle race late last year.  As a multi-time winner and podium finisher while racing with ASRA, Bayley was well-known and loved in the race paddock, earning the nickname “Ironman” for his strength and endurance in long-distance racing events.  Both Paasch and Chronic Motorsports had long relationships with Bayley, with Bayley acting as a mentor to Paasch when he began road racing, and with Chronic Motorsports supporting Bayley early in his road racing career.

“I was heartbroken when I got the update about Lloyd’s accident at Homestead.  He was an early mentor to me when I started road racing, and I really appreciated his guidance as I got going.  I looked up to Lloyd not only because of his skill, but also for how his love for racing affected everyone around him.  He brought smiles to everyone at the track, and I hope to carry that attribute on as I continue in my career.

“I know Lloyd was doing what he loved.  As a racer, this is what we try to remember in these times of sorrow.  I’m just fortunate that I can give back to his family and help them like he helped me.  Sharing my Daytona winnings with them, in partnership with Chronic Motorsports, is a good way to focus on the positivity that Lloyd brought to the track and to pay it forward to his wife and kids.”  (Brandon Paasch)
