Joey Pascarella To Race Atlanta: New Team, New Sponsors April 17, 2012, San Francisco, CA : The Jon Block Group and SGA/Katra Racing – Yamaha Champions Riding School have teamed up to race 2012 Daytona 200 winner Joey Pascarella (#52). This is a new venture born out of the overwhelming support Joey has garnered through his superior riding skills as well as his appeal to the fans, sponsors, and long-term supporters of this personable young man. Since his amazing win at Daytona, Joey and The Jon Block Group have been actively pursuing suitable opportunities that would allow Joey to continue his quest for an AMA Pro GoPro DSB Championship. Following recent conversations with SGA/Katra Racing-Yamaha Champions Riding School, all three parties saw an opportunity to field a program capable of attaining that goal. Starting with the AMA Pro round at Road Atlanta, everyone involved looks forward to continuing Joey’s favorable momentum as the series points leader. Pacarella commented, “Following weeks of speaking with a wide variety of teams and sponsors, we made a final decision to move forward with a proposal from Charlie Grannon and his SGA/Katra Racing-Yamaha Champions Riding School team. My long-term supporter (The Jon Block Group) will partner with them as principal sponsors for the Atlanta round. Honestly, the most difficult part about this was keeping quiet throughout the negotiations process – that was especially tough when friends and the media would contact me. I’m glad that’s over, I’m super pumped to be on my way to Atlanta this week, Charlie’s a great guy, and SGA/Katra Racing- Yamaha Champions Riding School a great team. I’m really looking forward to working with the organization! Special thanks to my other sponsors as well, including Mach1 Motorsports, Pacific Track Time, CT Racing, KH Coaching, Cortech, Shoei, FMF, Bazzaz, Regina, K-Tech, Full Spectrum Battery, Hotbodies, Zero Gravity, ODI Grips, Addiction Motors, GPR, Cox Radiator Guards, Vonzipper, GB Racing, Classic Powder Coating, Vesrah, Moto Wheels, Antonie Higginbottom, Drippin Wet.” Charlie Grannon, SGA/Katra Racing- Yamaha Champions Riding School team: “Our team feels so fortunate to be able to help Joey Pascarella reach his goals for this AMA Pro season. Joey’s riding skills speak for themselves; and now getting to know Joey, I am very impressed with how articulate, self-composed, and respectful this young man is. We look forward to having a great year.” Kurt Burgess, The Jon Block Group: “Joey’s accomplishments never cease to amaze us. He brings the full-package to our sponsorship campaign both on and off the track. Joey’s ability to communicate effectively with all walks of life, including well-established thought leaders throughout diverse industries, has generated a new list of prospective sponsors to entertain. We are very pleased to be part of this fast-moving campaign.”
