Torrance, CA: American Honda is proud to announce today that the team’s Moto2 effort at the 2010 Red Bull Indianapolis GP, August 27 to 29, will raise funds to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation® (PBTF) Ride for Kids® (RFK) program and its efforts to fight childhood brain tumors. Since 1991, the Honda Riders Club of America® (HRCA®) has been the presenting sponsor of the Ride for Kids®. For the Red Bull Indianapolis GP, the Ride for Kids logo will be placed on the bike, leathers and uniforms of the American Honda Moto2 team. However, to jump-start this fundraising process, go to www.rideforkids.org today to make a donation and receive your collector apparel! At Indy, staff will be on site to sell Drudi-designed replica team T-shirts and hats with the proceeds designated for the PBTF. There will also be a photo opportunity for fans to have their portrait taken with the painted team bike, with the proceeds to benefit the PBTF. In addition, team manager Kevin Schwantz will lead a Lap of Champions at Indy, a parade lap around the GP circuit limited to only 300 motorcycles; proceeds from this event will also go to the PBTF. And perhaps most exciting of all, a set of autographed leathers from the American Honda Moto2 effort will be auctioned off following the race, with the proceeds to be donated to the PBTF. “Kevin Schwantz is truly a legend of motorcycle racing, and sharing the Indianapolis GP track with him will provide lifelong memories to all who participate,” said Kyle Clack, national director of the PBTF’s Ride for Kids® program. “Do not miss this fantastic chance to meet and ride with Kevin while becoming a champion to the kids yourself.” To sign up for the Indy Lap of Champions or to find out more about the Ride for Kids® and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation®, go to www.rideforkids.org.
