Dustin Dominguez was top dog at round six of the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association’s championship series held at Oak Hill Raceway, claiming six Expert wins on the 1.8-mile course, near Henderson, Texas. The Newall, Oklahoma rider’s most spectacular win, perhaps, came in the Lightweight Twins Expert race where he battled race-long with fellow Suzuki SV650-rider Chris Romeo and finally claimed the victory after making a last-lap pass for the lead just two turns from the finish. Dominguez filled out his day by adding wins in the Liberty Motorsport Park B Superstock Expert, the Formula 2 Expert, B Superbike Expert, D Superstock Expert, and D Superbike Expert races. Randall Kienast rode a borrowed GSX-R1000 to claim his sixth-straight win in the Avteq A Superbike Expert class. The Suzuki rider also took the win in the Northwest Honda Formula 1 race after a fierce battle with fellow Suzuki rider Kevin Pate. Notable performances were turned in by Chase Vivion, Danny Kelsey and Tyler McDonald. Vivion, who is just returning to the track after suffering a horrific car accident several months ago, won the GMAN Productions 125cc GP race after a spectacular battle with Garet Tomlinson. Rookie Expert Danny Kelsey claimed his first-ever CMRA Expert win with a two-second victory over Craig Montgomery in the Island Racing Services C Superbike race. Meanwhile, McDonald came from the fourth row to win the South Central Race Center C Superstock Expert race, making a last-second pass on Craig Montgomery to do so. Other Expert-class winners included Marv Esterly, Eric Falt, Ryan O’Donnell, Kevin Pate, and Andy Galindo. In Saturday’s Shogun Motorsports Mini Endurance race, Desert-Mice Too managed to fend off mechanical gremlins long enough to take the win in the third round of the series. The Honda RS85-mounted team completed 195 laps during the six-hour event (shortened to five and a half hours due to a red flag), and finished with a one-lap margin of victory over second place finishers Hambone, while Kawasaki EX250-mounted No Homeless came home with third.
