2011 British Superbike Championship schedule announced Donington Park and new Snetterton 300 circuit feature on 2011 calendar The 2011 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship calendar has been announced today by series promoters MotorSport Vision (MSV). The twelve events include a popular return to the historic Donington Park circuit, which has re-opened under the guidance of owner Kevin Wheatcroft, and the new Snetterton ‘300’. It was recently confirmed that Norfolk’s Snetterton circuit would be comprehensively redeveloped ahead of the 2011 season, and the sixth round on 1-3 July will be the first major national event to run on the new 2.9 mile ‘300’ configuration. In a change to the traditional British Touring Car Championship calendar, 2011 sees the final round of that series moving away from Brands Hatch. This allows the return of the BSB final round to its natural home on 7-9 October and the re-establishment of three major motorcycle racing events at the hallowed Kent venue. The full 2011 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship calendar is: Apr 22-25 Brands Hatch* Apr 30-May 2 Oulton Park* May 13-15 Croft May 28-30 Thruxton* June 17-19 Knockhill July 1-3 Snetterton 300 July 15-17 Oulton Park Aug 5-7 Brands Hatch GP Aug 27-29 Cadwell Park* Sept 9-11 Donington Park Sept 23-25 Silverstone Arena GP Oct 7-9 Brands Hatch * = Bank Holiday weekend
