Current contract extended for three years until 2018, including both TV and digital rights.

Dorna Sports announces a 3 year contract extension with ESPN, securing the distribution of the MotoGP World Championship throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

In accordance with the terms of the contract extension, ESPN will broadcast the complete 2016, 2017 and 2018 seasons of MotoGP, including Free Practices, Qualifying sessions, Races and highlights, as well as additional coverage of the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships.

“We´re very happy to add another 3 years to our ongoing partnership with ESPN. Throughout our relationship we have been growing the coverage offered across all the platforms on which ESPN has a presence. ESPN is heavily involved in the Gran Premio de Argentina, with live programming broadcast directly from the circuit throughout the weekend, and their summary programs covering each Grand Prix are rated very highly by fans, proving the level of their commitment to the sport,” said Manel Arroyo, Managing Director, TV and Media Area, Dorna Sports.

“It’s a pleasure to maintain our ties with Dorna and carry on offering our viewers the world’s top level motorcycle racing for the next three seasons. For ESPN programming, it’s very important to provide the best MotoGP coverage in our region, especially given we are the home network of so many motor racing events,” added Federico Reyna, Director of Acquisition and Digital Media, ESPN.
