Dr. Jeffrey Purk, The Racing Dentist, Retires From Professional Road Racing

DDS Racing, Incorporated’s, Dr. Jeffrey Purk, is announcing his retirement from professional road racing effective immediately. After sixteen years of continuous campaigning at the regional and national levels, Jeff has determined that his new career pursuits and financial obligations have made racing untenable. Jeff enjoyed a long and successful career with the Championship Cup Series. He won over thirty class championships which included the overall amateur championships in the Great Lakes, Great Plains, and Midwest Regions in his first year, 1995. He also won the overall expert Midwest Regional Championship in 2001. He turned pro in 1997 and competed in AMA 600 and 750 Supersport, Formula Xtreme, Daytona Sportbike, and the Superbike classes. His AMA career was highlighted by top ten finishes in 750 Supersport and Formula Xtreme. His best finish being a victory at Daytona in March 2009 winning the two hour AMA Moto ST opening round aboard a Ducati 848. He had success endurance racing multiple different machines including TZ 250s. Jeff will continue to be part of the AMA scene in his capacity as advisor and crew member to SRT Racing’s Garrick Schneiderman.
