Ducati Island Returns To Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix At Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

The U.S. round of the MotoGP championship is approaching and Ducatisti have a front row seat for all the racing action. Cupertino, CA- (July 11th, 2007) Celebrating ten consecutive years, Ducati Island has been a staple of the fan experience at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca since 1998. The tradition continues July 20-22nd, during the Red Bull USGP, when Ducati Island will come to life while Casey Stoner continues his mission of putting Ducati atop the world’s premier motorcycling class. Ducati Island, the premier race destination for Ducatisti, is open to all motorcycle enthusiasts. Race fans can experience special exhibits, autograph signings, partner vendors and Italian food. Ducati owners who display their current Ducati registration or proof of insurance and photo ID will receive extra benefits such as Ducati parking, gear check and Ducati Hospitality. ATTRACTIONS AND EVENTS INCLUDE: Ducati Superbike Concorso The second round of the Ducati Superbike Concorso kicks off Friday morning at 10:00. The Concorso Superbikes will be on display throughout the entire weekend, with the winners being announced during Sunday’s lunch break. Ducati Showroom Come see some of the newest Ducati motorcycles including the Desmosedici RR, 1098 Superbike and Hypermotard 1100 S. Ducati Apparel and Accessories Store Salt Lake Motorsports will be Ducati’s premier apparel and accessories vendor on Ducati Island, providing the latest Ducati Performance clothing and accessories. Autograph Signing Many famous Ducati riders will be signing autographs throughout the weekend, including Casey Stoner, Loris Capirossi, Larry Pegram, Doug Polen, Frank Scurria and Cook Neilson. Ducati Vendor Row Select vendors will be displaying products oriented towards the Ducati enthusiast; including Lavazzi espresso, Bianchi bicycles, Equinox massages and the ultimate in Oakley optics. Ducati Grandstand Seating Race fans can watch the races from Ducati Island, with a prime view of Turn 2. Ducati Island Food and Beverages There will be Italian themed food from the Ducati Café. Ducati Island DJ The Ducati Island DJ will be providing non-stop entertainment, music and information.
