Ducati To Host Conference On Future Motorcycles This Month

DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF MOTORCYCLES Ducati and West Saxon University together in the latest trends in motorbike development. Bologna, 7th of April 2005: From 21st to 22nd of April 2005 the Ducati Auditorium will be the venue for the third edition of the international conference “DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF MOTORCYCLES,” organised by Haus Der Technik e.V. and by FTZ ­ the Research and Technology Association of West Saxon University in Zwickau, Germany; the chairman of the conference will be Prof. C. Stan of the Research and Technology Association. After the first edition held at Zwickau University in Germany and the second one in Munich in 2003 sponsored by BMW, this year the third edition of the prestigious international conference on new development trends in the two-wheeled world will take place in Bologna, Italy, in the headquarters of Ducati. Federico Minoli ­ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A ­ will open these two days of analysis and reflection on the future of the motorbike. The conference speakers will be professors from the most prestigious Italian, German, English and Austrian Universities and they will take turns in presenting the main topics in bike development and production components: engines, braking, vehicle dynamics, design, electronic control, communications and safety systems, styling, technology and materials. FIAT, BMW, Honda Europe and MZ will attend the conference as well as important suppliers such as Brembo, Pankl, dell’Orto and TÃœV, the German National Homologation Board.
