From a press release issued by Xerox Ducati: Valsir reaffirms its sponsorship activity in the world of motorsport in 2008. After years of brilliant results in terms of image, Valsir is ready to embark on a new adventure in the world of motorcycling, as official sponsor to the Ducati Xerox Team in the World Superbike Championship. Valsir and Ducati, two famous companies in the world of “Made in Italy”, have formed a winning partnership that sees them combine their passion, experience and quality products. The Ducati Xerox Team riders will be double World Superbike champion, Australian Troy Bayliss, and Italian Michel Fabrizio, a promising youngster in the championship. The legendary Borgo-Panigale based company has amassed an unprecedented collection of victories in the World Superbike championship, winning fourteen of the last seventeen world titles and taking more individual wins than those of all the other participating teams combined. The Ducati machines have been successful on tracks across the globe thanks to champions of such calibre as Mike Hailwood, Marco Lucchinelli, Carl Fogarty, Troy Bayliss, Loris Capirossi and Casey Stoner, the bikes thus becoming legendary in the world of racing and for all their fans. The Superbike championship will get under way on February 23rd and will take the Ducati Xerox Team across the world, from the first race in Qatar to the spectacular tracks of Europe and, in 2008, also to Indonesia, a new addition to the calendar.
