Ducshop Racing will bring its Ducati 848EVO Daytona SportBike racebikes and rider Jake Zemke to the Triumph Superbike Classic, Round Five of the AMA Pro Road Racing series, June 22-24 at Barber Motorsports Park.

The Ducshop Racing team used up most of its season operating budget as of Round Four at Miller Motorsports Park, according to Zemke, and an anonymous sponsor made it possible for the team to race in Round Five at Road America. At Road America, however, Zemke said it was not 100% certain that the team would be able to compete at Barber Motorsports Park even though it is within a few hours of the team’s base in Marietta, Georgia.

Now the team’s participation at Barber has been secured by donations sent to the team via a special page on www.ducshopracing.com, and their participation in the rest of the season could be secured if a sponsorship deal currently in the works gets finalized.

“Since we started Ducshopracing.com there’s that thing where you can donate to the team and get a team shirt or a team T-shirt or an Element iPhone case there’s like five different [donation] levels, that thing’s already raised, from Friday [June 8] to yesterday, like $3500,” Ducshop Racing owner Mark Sutton told Roadracingworld.com Wednesday. “So that’s what made the difference. Rod [Snyder], Tim [Robinson] and the shop, we’re all pitching in, but that definitely made it possible.

“It’s still race-to-race right now. If that sponsor doesn’t come through it’s going to come down to those donations, basically.”

Ducshop Racing Needs Your Help

Atlanta, GA (June 13, 2012) Ducshop Racing is seeking your help Jake Zemke reach the podium! Jake sits firmly in 5th place with six more rounds to go in the 2012 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona Sportbike Championship. The Ducshop Racing Team’s performance is impressive, especially considering the fact that the entire crew is solely comprised of volunteers. Even so, Zemke continues to inch closer and closer to a spot on the box.

Ducshop Racing needs your financial assistance. Your support can make all the difference! Any monetary contribution is appreciated, and for donations of $50.00 or more, you’ll receive custom Ducshop Racing/Jake Zemke merchandise. Additional opportunities include tickets to your choice of AMA Pro Racing events, lunch with Jake, and the chance to become part of the pit crew!

For those fans, friends and organizations interested in lending a hand to make the rest of the season a true success, please go to www.ducshopracing.com and pledge your support.
