BURKE RIDES DUNLOPS TO 7 TRACK RECORDS AT HIGH PLAINS RACEWAY

Ryan Burke broke seven track records during MRA racing at High Plains Raceway in Deer Trail, Colorado over the July 9-10 weekend, including the Absolute Track Record with a 1:12.068 lap during the Open Superbike race on Sunday.

Racing on the High Plains North Course, Burke set a pair of track records on Saturday, first in the Middleweight SuperSport aboard his ImperialSportbike-tuned Yamaha R6 with a 1:14.984, more than a full second better than the past mark set August 2015, and then in the Heavyweight SuperSport with a 1:15.560, a half-second better than the previous mark set in 2014. Burke used Dunlop GPA Pro DOT-approved race tires to set these records on his R6.

On Sunday, Burke broke his own track record in Race of the Rockies GTO qualifying riding his ImperialSportbike-tuned Yamaha R1 to a 1:12.809, a mark he would lower to 1:12.243 in the ROR GTO later in the afternoon. Using Dunlop KR451 racing slicks proved to be the winning combination to setting the overall track record.

MRA racing returns on August 6-7 at High Plains Raceway Full Course.
