Dunlop supports amateur flat track

Buffalo, NY: Dunlop Motorcycle Tires have extended its official tire support for American Flat Track (AFT) racing and is launching a new program to support flat track amateur racers.

In addition to being the official tire of AFT for the fourth year, Dunlop will expand its very successful Team Dunlop motocross program in 2020 to include amateur AFT events, as well as select amateur events outside AFT.

Like the Team Dunlop Elite motocross program, the Team Dunlop Flat Track Elite program includes select amateur racers who will receive unique benefits and support on and off the track. In addition to the Elite riders, amateur flat track racers can apply for tire discounts through teamdunlop.com.

For the inaugural season, Team Dunlop Flat Track Elite riders include Winter Olympics 250 winner Logan McGrane, Winter Olympics 450 winner Billy Ross, amateur stand-out Bobby Lupica, top female racer Jessica Reynolds, flat track Canada rookie of the year Hunter Bauer, dual national title winner Chase Saathoff, new A class competitor Dominic DeMario, and mini bike hotshot Evan Renshaw.

Team Dunlop was formed 14 years ago to help amateur motocross racers obtain tire support and receive more exposure so they could chase their goal of becoming pro riders. Today, the Team Dunlop Elite amateur motocross program has successfully helped many riders make a transition to the professional ranks, including Eli Tomac, Adam Cianciarulo, Chase Sexton, Justin Barcia, Blake Baggett, Ashley Fiolek, Justin Bogle, Justin Hill, Jessy Nelson, Austin Forkner, Jordan Bailey, Garrett Marchbanks, and Joey Savatgy.

Dunlop hopes the new Team Dunlop Flat Track Elite program will assist riders in their journey to the professional ranks, just as their motocross alumni have over the years.

“We are very excited with the challenge of creating a new Team Dunlop Elite amateur program,” said Rob Fox, Amateur Motocross/Flat Track Support Manager. “Our amateur motocross program is one of the most successful programs in the country and we look forward to making the Team Dunlop Flat Track program just as prestigious.”
