Dunlop has been the official tire of professional road racing in the U.S. since 2009. Every year, Dunlop engineers manage to extract more performance from Dunlop race tires through new design and innovation, technology that quickly makes its way into Dunlop’s street-legal sport and sport-touring tires.

Racing

At the apex of Dunlop’s premium performance products are race tires—the KR448 and KR451 slicks are the official tires of MotoAmerica road racing. The same tires that won all five 2020 MotoAmerica championships are available to club racers and professionals alike. Dunlop also offers Supermoto tires, the new DT4—the official tire of American Flat Track racing—plus the all-new Dragmax, a tire that has dominated Pro Street Bike drag racing in its debut season.

When it comes to making cutting-edge race tire technology available to the public, Dunlop is all in.

These multi-compound slicks are made in the U.S. and dominate road racing in America thanks to continual input from the sport’s top riders.

– Jointless Tread (JLT) bi-directional technology means the rear tire can be flipped in rotational direction to get more laps out of the tire.

– N-Tec combines the benefits of compliant cut-breaker construction with stiffer, continuously wound aramid-fiber technology Jointless Band construction for maximum feel, stability and grip.

– Sizes to fit everything from small displacement machines to factory Superbikes.

Dragmax

The Dragmax rear tire uses N-Tec and JLT construction technology like Dunlop’s road racing tires but is designed specifically for drag racing.

– Construction allows racers to run very low pressures, increasing the footprint for maximum traction.

– The compound is the softest street compound Dunlop has ever produced in its Buffalo, NY plant.

– The profile is wider and flatter than a typical hypersport tire for the biggest possible straight-line footprint.

– The tire’s construction minimizes centrifugal growth to keep the large footprint as consistent as possible, which also reduces the risk of de-beading.
