Dustin Dominguez claimed six wins and pocketed over $5000 in contingency and purse money at the final round of the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association Championship Series at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas, this weekend. The Oklahoma Kawasaki rider went head to head with Ty Howard, Cory West, Derek Wagnon, Cory Burleson, Danny Kelsey and others on the fast banking of the 2.9-mile speedway and came away with wins in the South Central Race Center C Superstock, Island Racing Services C Superbike, B Superstock, D Superstock, D Superbike and Lightweight Twins races. Dominguez was in position to add a seventh win, but let Wagnon slip by him on the final lap of the B Superbike race. Wagnon ultimately took the win over Dominguez by 0.013-second. Dominguez also added a second, a third and a fourth in other races to finish out a stellar weekend.

Ty Howard also had a good weekend, finishing the event with three wins. The Weatherford, Texas resident topped Cory West by 0.144-second to win the RaceworX A Superstock race, and then added wins in the AVTEQ A Superbike and Heavyweight Twins races for good measure. West returned to take the win in the Formula 1 race on his GSX-R1000, beating Cory Burleson, William Guthrie and Craig Montgomery in the process.

A grid-filling 520 entries attended the CMRA season finale as several class championships went down to the wire on the beautiful and sunny weekend.

Other Expert-class wins were turned in by James Camacho (GMAN Racing 125 GP), Conner Blevins (Exel Transport Formula 2), John Orchard (Formula 40 Heavyweight) and Eric Falt (Formula 40 Lightweight).

In the Novice divisions, Michael Bradshaw finished up with three wins, including a victory in the Ridesmart C Superbike race. Meanwhile, Prov Nov Jeremy Louder surprised the contingent with two wins in his first outing with the CMRA – those coming in the A Superstock and Formula 1 races. Tony Ta and Blake Cochran also had two wins each in the Novice divisions.

In Saturday’s endurance action, Village Idiots (John Orchard, Chris Headley, Chad Tieszen) ended a year full of frustration by taking the win in Sunday’s CMRA 6-hour endurance race. The YZF-R6-based team has suffered more then their share of blown engines over the course of the series but were able to hold things together long enough to take a satisfying victory over GSX-R1000-mounted WFO!!!Komodo (Wayne Wilder, Ottis Lance, Danny Kelsey) with one full lap to spare.

GMAN Racing (Michael Guillot, Garrett Tomlinson, Harry Tomlinson) rounded out the podium on a ZX-10R, while Big Gas Racing (Matt Lincoln, Scott Buckley, Brad Kelly, Alan Phillips, Gabe McClendon) finished fourth on a GSXR600, and Lone Star Track Day (Gabe McClendon, Mark Niemi, Derek Thomas, Andrew Galindo, Garet Tomlinson) finished fifth on a ZX-6R.

Despite struggling to finish 27th after suffering mechanical problems, Team Mancuso Powersports (Paul Wilkinson, Craig Clark, Bryan West, Dustin Meador, Randall Kienast) won the 2009 series title over Big Gas Racing.
