EDR Performance is pleased to announce that 10+ time AFM Top 10 plate holder, multiple class champ and track record holder Michael Earnest will be riding for EDR Performance in 2009. Earnest, owner of Pacific Track Time, who has also been awarded the rare AFM Sportsman of the Year award, will be entering his 25th consecutive year of road racing.

Earnest will be running an EDR Performance built and tuned Honda CBR1000RR as well as a second bike to be announced. EDR Performance’s Eric Dorn said “We were looking to expand, and the AFM organization has some of the most talented riders in the country. When I asked around, one name kept coming up for someone not only a top rider, but an all around great guy, Michael Earnest” “In the last 10 years, we have won all you can in OMRRA and WMRRA with #1 plates, all 3 track records, over 100 class championships, etc. We really wanted to expand into a new area and challenge ourselves with new competition.”

Earnest replied, “I spoke with a number of industry individuals about EDR Performance and all expressed very high regards. Many specifically noted the strength and reliability of their engines, as well as the dedication of owner Eric Dorn. After touring Eric’s shop I was immediately at ease releasing my bike into his hands. The pure size (6,500 sq ft) alone was stunning. I can’t say I’ve ever seen so many bikes in a shop before. It was meticulously clean with separate engine building and temperature controlled dyno rooms. Eric is clearly a dedicated, hardworking and professional individual with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Eric Dorn and EDR are precisely the kind with which I prefer to do business.”

Earnest, with a to-date best of AFM #2, will be racing in the highly-competitive, unlimited Formula Pacific class on way to his goal of AFM’s #1 Plate. He joins what can be said is one of the strongest road racing efforts on the west coast for 2009. EDR Performance supports close to 100 riders with many former and future class champions, #1 plate holders and track record breakers such as: Jason Bluth, John Dugan, Josh Galster, Peter Lenz, Dan Lippis, Jake Rower, Mike Sullivan, Dan Wilson and Tom Wertman. Along with the efforts of numerous other EDR supported racers competing with AMA, WERA, WMRRA, OMRRA and now AFM

EDR Performance is the Pacific Northwest’s premier motorcycle performance center. Since 1999, they have won multiple #1 overall championships, well over 100 class championships, broken all three Northwest motorcycle road racing track records, and have won nationally as well as competed internationally. EDR Performance, located in Portland, Oregon’s Pearl District, also builds some of the fastest and most award winning street bikes in the Northwest.

Michael Earnest, owner of Pacific Track Time (www.pacifictracktime.com) is also sponsored by Dunlop, Sporttire Services, Mach 1 motorsports, EBC Brakes, GP Frame and Wheel, and Pit Bull Stands.
