ECSTAR Suzuki Genuine Oil Joins Team Hammer For 2017
Team Hammer is excited to announce that it will compete in the 2017 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship as M4 ECSTAR Suzuki.
M4 ECSTAR Suzuki will feature Valentin Debise in Supersport, Jake Lewis in Superstock 1000, and Brandon Cleland in Superstock 600. And Team Hammer’s M4 medAge Suzuki rider Nick McFadden will also use ECSTAR Suzuki Genuine Oil in Superstock 600.
ECSTAR is the global brand name of Suzuki’s genuine high performance engine oil and chemical products. ECSTAR lubricants have been precisely formulated to provide ultimate performance and be environmentally friendly. Despite its recent introduction on the worldwide market, the name Suzuki ECSTAR is already widely associated with success among race fans as the official title sponsor for Suzuki’s race-winning MotoGP program.
Neal Wallbaum, Parts & Accessories Sales Manager of Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. said, “Suzuki Genuine Parts & Accessories is very excited to partner with the M4 Suzuki team in the launch of our all-new ECSTAR Oil & Chemical line. We are looking forward to great results with the new GSX-R lineup and the exposure this will bring to the ECSTAR Suzuki Genuine Oil brand.”
“This is a very interesting association for us,” said M4 ECSTAR Suzuki Crew Chief Keith Perry. “We’re a team on the rise, and it’s always great to be associated with top companies. ECSTAR is part of Suzuki and make a fine line of products. We’re glad they are increasing their presence in the United States and we are very happy to be using ECSTAR in our racebikes.”
The 2017 season will mark Team Hammer’s 37th consecutive year of operating as a professional road racing team. Racebikes built and fielded by Team Hammer have won 61 AMA Pro National races, have finished on AMA Pro National podiums 153 times and have won five AMA Pro National Championships (the most recent in 2012), as well as two FIM South American championships. The team has also won 134 endurance races overall (including seven 24-hour races) and won 13 Overall WERA National Endurance Championships with Suzuki motorcycles, and holds the U.S. record for mileage covered in a 24-hour race. The team also competed in the televised 1990s Formula USA National Championship, famously running “Methanol Monster” GSX-R1100 Superbikes fueled by methanol, and won the F-USA Championship four times.
