ELIAS HOPING FOR MORE AT MUGELLO GP Mugello, 30 June: The 2011 MotoGP World Championship resumes this weekend with one of the most popular races of the calendar as the stunning Mugello circuit in Tuscany which hosts the Grand Prix of Italy immediately after Assen outing. The busy summer with six races over eight weekends proceeds at the 5.245 km race track where LCR Honda MotoGP racer Toni Elias is determined to increase his pace. Having struggled with rear grip issues since the beginning of the season, the Spaniard riding the RCV has obtained positive performances in the last 2 wet rounds (Silverstone and Assen) finishing respectively 8th and 10th but he is hoping for a strong ride in the dry at hot Mugello circuit. Elias: “Mugello is a very exciting race track but it’s very tough too. Italian fans are very warm like the Spanish ones so I really like the atmosphere there. I know this is one of the most important races for my Team but I come here to proceed my set up work with the guys because the championship is still long and we must find a solution for the rear traction problems we have been facing since the beginning of the season. In the wet my pace is pretty good and in the last two races I could ride with more confidence but I am very worried about our performances in the dry”.
