From a press release: Ryan Elleby, the 24 year old Georgian and Brian Stokes team up to compete in the AMA Superstock championships on a GSXR1000 – Elleby as rider, Stokes as coach and crew chief. Even though this will be Elleby’s first year on a 1000cc we anticipate he will be a powerful contender as he was well prepared by Pegram racing in 2006 and Rockwall Honda in 2007 on the 600cc Honda machines. Our first Superstock race will be at Barber Motorsports Park and we will continue racing at all AMA rounds. In addition we will race selected AMA Superbike rounds and WERA Nationals. Elleby said, “I believe the Suzuki/Pirelli package will be a great fit for my riding style. It is also very settling to have someone, who is trusted, tuning for you. I am a firm believer that this is the most important piece of the puzzle in a racers career. I realize it may take a race or two in order to become comfortable on a 1000 but I have been training hard all winter hoping to have this exciting opportunity” We would like to thank our sponsors for this opportunity to compete and extent our sincere gratitude to Foot and Leg Healthcare Specialists for there generous contribution, Tim Robinson, and Dillon Winship for his friendship and racing influence.
