BOGDANKA PTR HONDA’S James Ellison is looking for a strong result in front of the British crowd as the World Supersport Championship moves from Brno to his home track at Silverstone in the UK for round eight this weekend. After showing a very promising pace in the Czech Republic, his teammate Pawel Szkopek aims high again, this time on a track which is new to the Polish rider. James Ellison:”Obviously I’m really excited to have another home race as Donington was good for us until I was forced to retire. There is no real track advantage to the Brits as I have only raced there once before just like the World Supersport riders but it’s the fans that make the difference so I’m looking forward to it and will be pushing 100% as normal.” Pawel Szkopek: “We had a great pace at Brno but I don’t want to get carried away so I’m not putting my goals in any numbers for Silverstone. I don’t know the track but I know my bike well by now and have a great team around me; so I’m confident it will be a good weekend. It’s a home race for James, who knows this track well so I hope he can give me a few tips before we go out for practice on Friday.” Simon Buckmaster:”It has been a tough season for many reasons for James to this point but we are all motivated for Silverstone and it is crunch time for him coming to his home race – we need a good result and he has all the tools to get one. “Pawel has never been to Silverstone and needs to remain calm and work hard through all the sessions to get himself into a points scoring position for the race.”
