Owners of Ducati Superbikes are encouraged to enter the competition. Cupertino, CA – Ducati North America announces the online round of the Superbike Concorso, a celebration of Ducati Superbikes. Now in its second year, the Superbike Concorso honors Ducati’s racing heritage and allows owners of 1972-2008 Ducati Superbikes to compete in a heads-up contest for the best overall motorcycle entered in each of the five rounds. Entry submittal opened on April 7th and will continue until April 28th. Ducatisti are encouraged to check out the website and enter their Superbikes in this unique event. Online voting will begin on May 1st and, as the final stage of selecting winners, the judges will review these votes submitted by people from across the nation and around the world. Unlike the live rounds, this internet only event grants anyone with a computer the ability to participate as a contestant, voter and viewer. An independent vote counter will validate each vote to ensure authenticity as best as possible. Shortly after voting ends, the counter’s report along with the raw data will go to judges Rich Lambrechts, Jeff Nash, and Brian Slark to be factored in to selecting the winning bikes in each category. The Grand Prize for the online round is the same as the in person rounds and includes a trip for 2 to the 2008 Milan Motorcycle Show in November including airfare, hotel and VIP treatment at the Ducati factory in Bologna. A prize that money can’t buy, these trips are once-in-a-lifetime events. Entrants also compete in six runner-up categories, the winners of which receive $500 Ducati Performance Gift Certificates. The competition should be incredibly close and history has shown many worthy bikes will enter, so log onto the website and vote for your favorite!
