Yamaha factory Superbike pilot Eric Bostrom will not race in Sunday’s AMA Superbike race at Miller Motorsports Park due to injury. Bostrom highsided at high speed while running in second place early in Saturday’s Superbike race. He walked away from the incident but was later transported to a local hospital in Tooele, where he was diagnosed with a separated left shoulder, according to his Crew Chief Jim Roach. “They said it was either a really bad [grade] two or a light [grade] three separation,” Roach told Roadracingworld.com Sunday morning. Roach added that Bostrom’s left foot was also examined and X-rayed but no bone fractures were found. Yamaha Team Manager Tom Halverson said Bostrom would not race Sunday and would instead rest for a few days before trying to ride at a test at Virginia International Raceway later this week. Asked if there was any chance Ben Bostrom, Eric’s older brother, would race in Sunday’s Superbike race, Halverson said, no.
