C.R Gittere to race in the 2009 Isle of Man TT. C.R. will be competing on a Mick Charnock-prepared TCR/DP Cold Planing CBR 1000 in Superstock, Superbike and in the Senior TT. Racing in the Isle of Man has been on C.R.’s list of things to do for very long time. “I am really looking forward to racing the TT this year. I have always wanted to race in the Isle of Man and this year the opportunity with Mick came along at the right time for me so I snatched it up. I really have to thank Mick and Paul for putting this together for me.” The Isle of Man TT will take place this year from Saturday May 30th through Saturday June 13th. The first week comprises of several practices that take place from 6:20PM to 8:50PM every evening. Mad Sunday will be on June 7th when they open up the course for spectators to ride their own motorcycle around the historic 37.75 mile course. Racing will start on Saturday June 6th at 12:00PM local time with the Superbike race. The final races of the week will be the light weight group comprised of 125cc and 250cc GP machines on Saturday June 13th with the grand daddy of all the races being the Senior TT on Friday June 12th at 1:00PM local time. C.R. Gittere, who will be competing for the first time, commented “I can’t believe I am going over there to race the Senior TT this year. The Senior TT is one of the most historic road races in the world. The other Americans that have gone over there and raced in recent years, like Mark Miller, Jimmy Moore, Jeremy Toye, and Tom Montano have done a really good job of competing. Hopefully, I can go over there and put on as good of a show for the fans as they did their first year.”
