Fundraising & Rider Appearance Details for the Race to Recovery Trackday to Benefit Wounded Veterans Hosted by VIR, Cornerspeed, and Patriot Racing On Friday August 13, Patriot Racing, along with Cornerspeed and VIR, will be holding a trackday fundraising event to benefit our wounded veterans. This event will be held on VIR’s South course while practice for the AMA Suzuki White Lightning Nationals will be running on the North course. This event is open to the public. Visit us in the picturesque VIR South course paddock and meet some of the fastest racers in AMA Pro Roadracing competition. We will also be holding a silent auction on items donated by many industry sponsors. Proceeds will benefit the Fisher House Foundation and Homes for Our Troops, two top-rated charities that provide direct and meaningful assistance to military families and wounded veterans. Come visit with some of the fastest American Superbike and Daytona Sportbike pilots competing in AMA Pro Roadracing today! Riders such as: Josh Hayes, Tommy Hayden, Jake Zemke, Brett McCormick, Geoff May, PJ Jacobsen, Bobby Fong, Michael Beck, and Melissa Paris will visit the Race to Recovery paddock on the South course to interact with visitors and sign autographs as their race schedules allow. Former AMA Superbike champion Jamie James will join us; as will former AMA Superbike, WSBK, and 5-time Daytona 200 winner Scott Russell! Auction items have been donated by Full Spectrum Power, Orient Express, Joe Rocket, Lithium Motorsports, BG Oil, The Online Paddock, Leo Vince, and more! The silent auction will run from 10am to 4pm. Payment must be made at end of auction. Items will be ready for pick-up upon payment. Patriot Racing is a 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to advocate for the long term needs of wounded veterans and military families through motorsports.
