Yamaha Champions Riding School to Share Track Time with Yamaha U.S. Road Racing Teams TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (January 27, 2012) “” Students attending the Yamaha Champions Riding School at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on February 5-6 will get a rare treat. They’ll be sharing track time with the Yamaha U.S. Road Racing Teams and will get an up-close and personal look at the exciting world of full-factory racing. Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha’s AMA Pro Racing National Guard American Superbike riders Josh Hayes and Josh Herrin will be in attendance. Hayes is the two-time and defending American Superbike champion, and Herrin was a Daytona SportBike series standout and 2010 Daytona 200 winner who has moved up to the premier class for 2012. Yamaha Extended Service/Graves/Yamaha’s AMA Pro Racing Daytona SportBike riders Cameron Beaubier and Garrett Gerloff will also take part in this important test. All four full-factory Yamaha riders will alternate track time with students from the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and it is expected that Hayes, Herrin, Beaubier and Gerloff will spend some time with the class to discuss their riding techniques. The Yamaha Champions Riding School students may even have the chance to tour the team transporters and meet other members of the race team. “Our students are amazed by two things during the days we share with the Yamaha U.S. Road Racing Teams,” said Nick Ienatsch, lead instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, which is based at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. “One is the exotic level of the machines and the quality of preparation, and the other is how approachable and friendly everyone on the teams is, from the riders to the truck driver. We get to watch the riders, take a tour of the bikes and even do some Q&A. It’s much more than just sharing the track. It’s a study of the approach that a championship team takes.” For more information about the Yamaha Champions Riding School, go to www.MillerMotorsportsPark.com or call 435.27.SPEED (277-7333).
