2018 Fastrack Academy IV Results

SAN DIEGO, CA – November 26, 2018 – Fastrack Academy class of 2018 concluded in great fashion on Sunday, November 25 at Auto Club Speedway. Team Toye’s Ben Ahern took the first place grand prize, a BMW G 310 R. Conner Brown, Mike Lakritz and Mike Diaz for a close second, third and fourth respectively.

Ben comments: “What’s been so rewarding about the academy is how rich of an experience it is, from the coolest pros ever, to adding new motorcycle family, to transforming my riding ability – my life will be forever enriched. And I wanted to reiterate my appreciation to all of you [Fastrack] and your staff. I know how hard you guys work and I’ve done the math in my head and know you guys are doing it for the passion. This is a very special program you guys have put together. I mean it when I say my life will forever be enriched. I look forward to 2019 as I plan to be the first repeat in academy history.”

This was the fourth year running of Fastrack Academy. New tests are added to the program each year as a surprise and this round consistency was monitored and scored with LitPro Data Analysis. Gymkhana and a bicycle challenge were also run as a result of their great success in the prior years.

“I had a great group of guys this year and super proud of what they accomplished especially that this is our team’s second win out of the 4 Academy Seasons.” said Jeremy Toye, a former professional Superbike racer, a race team owner, and Ben’s lead coach

Jeremy’s Assistant Coach Aaron Asher adds: “Our team worked together to break through their barriers. Their open-minded attitude let us get very detailed with their coaching. It was a pleasure to work with everyone on this team.”

Mr. Imad Samhat, Fastrack Rider’s owner notes: “I wanted to thank all the participants, not just the winners and finalists but all those that committed and gave it their all in this past round and prior rounds. I’m quite proud of our program, as it is has proven itself every time for four years now. In the Academy everyone achieves and everyone has a chance at winning. We are already looking at the possibility of having a very special Fifth Anniversary version of the Academy in 2019. So stay tuned!”

With great support from participating Southern California BMW Dealers (Riverside, Irv Seaver and New Century BMW), Fastrack Academy has completed its fourth consecutive year with unquestionable success and continued dedication from top Pros including Eric Bostrom, Jake Zemke, Jeremy Toye, Chris Ulrich, Ben Bostrom, Chris Fillmore and Steve Rapp. Follow Fastrack Riders on Social Media and email any questions directly to [email protected]
