Almost 10 years ago, Roadracing World featured Richard Stanboli, his aftermarket parts manufacturing business Attack Performance, and his then-newly-established Attack Tuning Center in “Shops.”
The story chronicled how Stanboli–a former U.S. Army Infantry officer, former racer, and current engineer–built his company by using innovative engineering to solve problems, go quicker, and succeed in racing. And succeed he has.
At the time of our original article in the October 2011 issue, Stanboli and his riders had won five AMA Pro Championships and the Daytona 200 twice. And at that time, Stanboli had recently switched from running factory-backed and/or manufacturer satellite teams to running his own privateer efforts in David-versus-Goliath campaigns against those same factory-level efforts.
Stanboli continued to succeed…and now he’s running Yamaha’s Superbike program in MotoAmerica!
