Editorial Note: The original version of this release stated Sebastiao Ferreira hoped to race in the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike class and was later changed to say AMA Pro SuperSport after a revised release was issued by BP Racing.
Roseville, CA (Jan 21, 2014) – BP Racing’s Sebastiao Ferreira is looking to compete in the AMA Pro SuperSport class on the BP Racing Yamaha R6 and attempt to compete in the Moto1000GP Race Series in his home country of Brazil.
Team Manager Ken Chewey comments, “We are currently looking for sponsors to compete in SuperSport and looking to expand to bigger media outlets and found that Sebastiao’s home country has a country-wide broadcast of live motorcycle racing. So we are trying to explore with the big gap in AMA racing and go to Brazil and compete there.”
Sebastiao Ferreira states, “After talking with Ken and our sponsorship and marketing person Donna we have all decided the best thing for my career is to compete in both our US national race series and return to Brazil to compete in the Moto1000GP series and attempt to compete in a few other international wild card entries that I am currently working on.”
