The World Superbike Championship confirms its place in the heart of passionate Spanish racing fans especially thanks to the efforts of Telecinco, the number one TV station in Spain, that transmits live all races of the Championship for the production-based racing bikes. The Superbike TV schedule of Telecinco is complete, with pre-race updates 30 minutes before the start and with live commentary. Furthermore eight members of Telecinco staff present at the circuit prepare special coverage and bulletins from all the tracks and they broadcast from Thursday to Sunday within the sports news section. The big efforts of Telecinco to promote in the best way the Superbike World Championship within an important motor sport nation have achieved really significant results in terms of audience data. The number of viewers during race one at the Valencia, Silverstone and Brands Hatch rounds represented a 26% audience share with an average audience of 1,700,000 viewers, with peak figures of 2,600,000 and a 34% share. To complete Telecinco’s Superbike coverage, their sister channel Telecinco Sport available on digital terrestrial television broadcasts Saturday’s Superpole and the Superstock 1000, Supersport and Superbike race 2 live.
