2007 “Seattle 100″ Presented by 2Fast Motorcycle Track Days & Instruction Sets Sight on Record Year”¦ Again 2Fast Motorcycle Track Days & Instruction (www.2-fast.org) has big goals for this year’s annual “Seattle 100″ charity track day event to be held Saturday, July 28. Last year’s sold out event, with factory roadracing stars like Aaron Yates and Josh Hayes in attendance, grossed $108,000 for children fighting kidney disease. This year, 2Fast and the 100 participants in the event are hoping to crest the $120,000 mark”¦ yet another record year for this unique fundraiser held at Seattle’s Pacific Raceways. 2007 marks the fifth year of the Seattle 100 and is the most anticipated trackday in the Northwest roadracing and sportbike community. The Seattle 100 is a free track day for 100 lucky riders, each contributing to the event’s goal of raising $100,000 for the NephCure Foundation by committing to $500 or more in solicited donations to the event’s cause, this being the price of admission. For their fundraising efforts, participating riders in return get to ride the track for a full day alongside some of the nation’s finest racers and hang out with them at what past attendees have described as a truly first class fundraiser. VIP guests in the past have included Josh Hayes, Jake Zemke, Aaron Yates, Aaron Gobert, Jason DiSalvo, Greg White and Hollywood celeb David Alan Grier. This year, the VIP guest list is once again star-studded: Josh Hayes and Jake Holden will return for their fourth straight year in attendance, Aaron Gobert will be back for a second year, and newcomers to the event for 2007 will be Danny Eslick and Chaz Davies. Seattle 100 Director and 2Fast Co-Owner Brian Orton expects to announce additional attendees in the coming weeks. While participation is limited to just 100 riders, a few spots remain open though 2Fast co-owners Brian Orton and Mark DeGross expect the window of opportunity to close soon. “Right now, we have only about twenty spots left, putting us well ahead of where we were last year. We’ve come a long way since the first Seattle 100, and people now want to sign up and get involved. They’re into it, they’re behind the cause, and we can’t thank all the participants and sponsors such as Cycle Barn, Renton Motorcycles, Ride Motorsports, and Leo Vince enough for their commitment to help us again on July 28th,” said Brian Orton. Orton’s son once battled a rare form of incurable kidney disease called Nephrotic Syndrome, and though his son has been in good health for years now, Orton is left to wonder when it might come back. Thus, Orton and 2Fast continue to support the tremendous efforts of The NephCure Foundation, the only not-for-profit organization in the world that supports families and children fighting glomerular kidney disease, and the funding of scientific research aimed at finding cures. Details on this unique fundraiser can be found on 2Fast’s website at www.2-fast.org, and sponsor inquiries as well as donations of items that can be auctioned are welcomed. For questions regarding sponsorship, registration, auctionable items, and attendance, contact Seattle 100 Director Brian Orton at [email protected].
