Infoprensa FIM CEV Repsol 2020/18: Engines on!

After a long preseason, the FIM CEV Repsol is delighted to announce that the two first events of the season have now been authorised. As previously announced, the first race week will take place at the Circuito do Estoril, followed by the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão.

Due to protocols and travel restrictions, the dates have been modified:

Estoril

Saturday 4th July: CEV Official Testing Sessions

Sunday 5th July: CEV Official Testing Sessions

Monday 6th July: Qualifying Sessions

Tuesday 7th July: Races

Algarve

Friday 10th July: CEV Official Testing Sessions

Saturday 11th July: CEV Official Testing Sessions

Sunday 12th July: Qualifying Sessions

Monday 13th July: Races

As planned, the following races will take place at each event:

Estoril: FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship, Moto2™ European Championship (2 races), and Hawkers European Talent Cup (2 races).
Algarve: FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship, Moto2™ European Championship (2 races), and Hawkers European Talent Cup.

The FIM CEV Repsol and each circuit are working closely with sporting and health authorities to ensure that FIM CEV Repsol races take place in a safe environment and following the measures required on the specified dates. To that end, a Covid-19 protocol is being finalized that details the guidelines that must be followed and explaining the measures that have been adopted, such as the reduction and strict control of the number of people in the paddock, temperature checks prior to access, medicals when appropriate, and social distancing.

Further updates on the FIM CEV Repsol calendar will be released after the official FIM MotoGP™ World Championship calendar is published.
