The FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme), the international governing body of motorcycle racing, and global digital sport and entertainment specialist Perform have today announced a 3-year partnership to develop, manage, promote and monetise a new video website for the Federation. Perform will design and develop FIM’s official broadband video website, showcasing content from all motorcycling disciplines governed by the Federation. There will be a combination of live and VOD content, including footage from latest events and FIM’s extensive video archive spanning over 10 years. Perform will be providing an end-to-end solution, supplementing its technical expertise with proven digital marketing and commercialisation techniques to reach a broad base of motorcycling fans across Road Racing, Motocross, Trials, Enduro, Cross-Country Rallies and Track Racing. Perform Joint CEO, Oli Slipper, said: “This is an important partnership to help drive interest in FIM disciplines and motorcycling as a whole, giving fans around the world access to an unprecedented motorcycling video library. “Perform’s experience with managing digital solutions for numerous international sports federations and governing bodies and the quality of FIM’s content will expand the reach of the FIM brand and events, increase the level of user engagement and attract new fans globally. “As a part of this project, we will also look to generate significant commercial returns from FIM’s digital content rights through advertising, sponsorship and subscriptions.” Olivier Godallier, FIM Marketing and Communications Director said: “The partnership with Perform gives us a fantastic opportunity to engage motorcycle racing enthusiasts around the world. It will mean millions of fans will be able to get their fix of the sport on-demand, whenever they want, wherever they want. We are very optimistic that this platform will not only deliver an excellent service to our existing community but also enable us to reach out to new target groups.”
