World Champion MUENCH faces competitors in Magny-Cours First FIM e-Power International Championship race takes place on April 15th, 2011 This upcoming Friday the hunt for the FIM International Championship title officially begins in Magny-Cours, France – fortunate suppositions considering MUENCH’s legendary victory on the Circuit de Nevers on September 10th, 2010. Back then team driver Matthias Himmelmann won his first FIM e-power championship race for the team from Lohfelden. “This year it will be even harder to prevail over the other teams. However we are very well prepared for the upcoming season”, promises Matthias Himmelmann. As he states the dark horse will be the unpredictable competition. “We do know some teams from the last season but they will have progressed as well. Nevertheless I believe that we are able to once again fight for the top three rankings this season!” “MUENCH will only participate with one competitor in Magny-Cours”, explains Himmelmann. “Unfortunately we are not able to mobilise the TTE-2.0 for the first race of the season. Our new bike is not as fully developed as we had hoped and therefore, we do not want to risk a failure. Hence, we will line up with last year’s championship bike – the TTE-1.2.” Six FIM e-Power International Championship races will be held this upcoming season. Amongst the six international events and for the first time in e-bike racing history a race will take place in the Schleizer Dreieck, Germany on May 15th, 2011. Very fortunate circumstances for all MUENCH enthusiasts and fans of Double World Champion Matthias Himmelmann who can now watch and experience the MUENCH team at close range.
