FIM Grand Prix Commission Modifies Moto3 Technical Regulations

FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Decision of the Grand Prix Commission The Grand Prix Commission, composed of Messrs. Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna, Chairman), Ignacio Verneda (FIM Executive Director, Sport), Herve Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA) in the presence of Javier Alonso (Dorna) and Mike Trimby (IRTA, Secretary of the meeting), in a meeting held on 02 June in Catalunya, Spain, decided the following: Technical Regulations Immediate application Moto3 ECU Software Regulation A revision to this regulation will permit manufacturers of homologated engines, or their official representatives, to make changes to the ECU software configuration files at any time. Such changes must be made available to all customers. (Previously changes could not be made during events). Teams will continue to be allowed to modify the ECU configuration file within the limitations of the setting, (tuning), options included in the Race version of the software.
