Florian Marino replaces Simone Corsi at Misano

Simone Corsi, who last Sunday underwent a surgery to fix the displaced and open fracture of his left ulna and repair the extensor tendons of the wrist, following the incident during the British GP, was dismissed from Oxford hospital in the late afternoon of Tuesday September 2, and it’s now recovering at home, in Italy. At the moment it’s difficult for the doctors to give an exact estimation of the recovery times of the Italian rider, but his participation to the San Marino Grand Prix is excluded.

For the 13th round of the season, The GP of San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, Simone Corsi will be replaced by Florian Marino, the 21 year old French rider who is currently 3rd in the SuperSport World Championship with the Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres team. Marino will make his debut in the World Championship at Misano on board of the Kalex of NGM Forward Racing team.

Florian Marino – 20

“First of all I want to wish to Simone a speedy recovery. It is a pity because this season he has been performing well. I have always been watching Moto2 since this Championship started wishing to race there one day. Finally that day has arrived and I am really excited to get the chance to ride in a Grand Prix in a team such as NGM Forward Racing. I am looking forward to start this new experience”.
