Yesterday, on Thursday 27th of February, the Tech3 Racing Team was testing together with the Technomag carXpert Team at the Paul Ricard Circuit in the south of France, to continue the preparations for the forthcoming 2014 Moto2 World Championship.

During the afternoon hours, Alex Marinelarena suffered a heavy fall which knocked him out of consciousness. While the medical staff of the circuit were administering first aid at the scene, the 21 year old Spanish rider was awake and able speak to the doctors. He was then taken to the Saint-Anne hospital in Toulon to undergo further examinations, where the medical staff decided to put him into a medically induced coma.

There is no further medical information regarding Alex’s condition available for the moment, but the Tech3 Racing Team will provide information as soon as his condition improves.
