FIM Superbike Commission Decides To Shrink Winter Testing Ban Period

Decision of the Superbike Commission

The Superbike Commission, composed of Messrs Javier Alonso (WSBK Executive Director), Ignacio Verneda (FIM Executive Director, Sports) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA Representative), took the following decisions by means of an electronic decision-making procedure last week end.

The SBK Commission decided that: “Practice by riders and teams contracted to compete in the FIM Superbike and Supersport World Championship is prohibited from 21 December 2014 until 4 January 2015 (both dates inclusive).

The SBK Commission also decided to increase the age limit for riders competing in 2015 in the FIM Superstock 1000cc Cup to 28 years. Therefore, licenses for Superstock riders will only be issued to riders born between 1st January 1987 and 29 March 1999.
