FIM Will Recognize ‘World Environment Day’ At Miller Motorsports Park, Other Tracks

2008 World Environment Day FIM celebration at various sporting events The environment is becoming more and more important in our society as well as in all areas linked to sport. The sound level, protection of the ground, alternative energies as well as many other subjects linked to the environment are now part of the elements included in most discussions at international level. The FIM has been involved for more than ten years in the respect of the environment in motorcycling sport and has decided to adopt a new logo to now head all its environmental actions. This logo will be used for the first time during the commemorations for the 2008 World Environment Day that will take place at all the following FIM events during the weekend of 31 May – 1st June (except for the MotoGP where an action will take place on 5th June in Catalunya, Spain). – MotoGP in Catalunya, Spain – Superbike in Salt Lake City, United States – MX1-MX2 in Mallory Park, Great Britain – Sidecar Motocross in Cingoli, Italy – Trial in Motegi, Japan – Long Track in Mulmshorn, Germany
