The Red Bull Indy Grand Prix. Start first of all with our race winner, Nico Terol. Congratulations, Nico, on your first victory. What’s does it mean to do it here at Indianapolis? NICOLAS TEROL: (Through interpreter) So Nico just explaining it’s been a really difficult weekend for him, new circuit, surface as well, problems with that, with the rain as well across lots of the sessions. Not enough, he says, in the dry conditions. He said, also, he had a problem this morning, his bike wouldn’t go over 13,000 revs, but the team seemed to have sorted that before the race. About the race itself, he got a great start, but Pol was able to pull away from him. Gradually, though, he was gradually able to close in and take Pol and even open up a gap slowly but surely. But then the rain started coming, and he didn’t really have any references from anyone else to see how he could ride in the wet conditions, and that’s why Pol came back up to him. He didn’t know as well how the race was going to end, whether it would be like Assen or Le Mans where the race was separated into two. But in the end, he’s just delighted. He wants to thank all his team for the hard work and all his sponsors, as well. Congratulations, Nico. Well done on the race today. Move on to Pol Espargaro, of course, in second position. Pol started from Pole, got a great start as well. But just in the second half, Nico really closed in, didn’t he? POL ESPARGARO: (Through interpreter). So Pol just explaining it was a tough race out there, got a great start and was able to set the pace in the race, pull out a gap. Eventually Nico was closing in on him. He said he then had a bit of a problem with the front at Turn 1, which cost him a lot of time, and that was when Nico was able to get past eventually. Then he said he made a couple more errors, which made the gap open up a bit. Then the rain came and that changed things, and he was able to close in once more. He says the red flag robbed him eventually, but that’s the situation in the rain. Nonetheless, he’s happy with the second position today. Thanks a lot, Pol. Well done. Third position, Stefan Bradl. Stefan, not a great start to the race but you really came back into it and maybe another one or two laps could have been on top of the podium, as well. STEFAN BRADL: Maybe yes, but at the start I had a problem in third gear and after the race I was at 15 or something like this. I had pushed as hard as possible, and I closed the gap to the other guys in front of me. Yeah, just I had the small problem in T2. But, yeah, the bike was fast, and in T4 I catch somebody, and after this I had some slipstreams and to go in front. Yeah, after this it starts to rain a little bit, but I was pushing and I closed a little bit the gap to Pol, but still too far away. Yeah, then they stop the race. I wasn’t sure if I’m third or fifth or something like this. But it’s better for me than in Le Mans and in Assen. So yeah, I’m really lucky and thanks to my team and thanks to my bike.
