Fogi Racing is delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with The North American International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW for the forthcoming 2011 season. The Fogi Team will be appearing at the SUPERSHOW in the Toronto International Centre, Canada, Jan 7/8/9th 2011. The show is the largest indoor motorcycle show held in North America. Fogi Racing will be there showing off their machines for the 2011 season which includes three Moriwaki MD250 GP bikes (first showing in Canada) along with Ben Young’s Yamaha R6 AMA Supersport machine. Ben will be there to chat to fans and to do poster signings. Scott Young, Fogi crew chief, was asked about the Supershow sponsorship deal and said, “Fogi Racing is delighted with gaining the opportunity in being on board with Peter Derry and the Supershow team. This will give us an excellent launch for 2011 which we can show the public and potential sponsors what we will be doing for the forthcoming season. As a Canadian team we want to promote ourselves as much as possible and there will be no better place than home ground in Toronto with the Supershow.” Scott was asked what the team’s plans are for next season, and he said, “Things are not set in stone as yet as we have a lot to arrange including new sponsors, etc. What I can say is that we are planning for Ben Young to contending in the AMA Supersport Young Guns class in the States. The Moto2 FTR machine will be running in Europe to contend in either and or both the CEV Buckler Spanish Championship and MotoGP depending who the rider will be. The Moriwaki MD250s GP bikes will be running in the USGPRU (United States Grand Prix Union) and hopefully in the RACE Canadian Regional Championships here in Ontario. We are looking to lease these machines out for the season to young riders from 12 to 16 years of age for them to learn the racecraft of a GP machine.” Scott was asked more on the Moto2 FTR machine and if there was a rider for the 2011 season. Scott returned in saying, “Angus Borland team owner is dealing more with the European/MotoGP side of things. There are exciting plans for the Moto2 season but there are a few loose ends to tie up before anything is announced.” Show Hours Friday, Jan. 7 10am – 10pm Saturday, Jan. 8 10am – 10pm Sunday, Jan. 9 10am – 6pm Drop by and meet the Fogi Team and see the first time in Canada the Moriwaki MD250 GP bikes.
