FOGI Racing Prepares For Round 2 Of Spanish Moto2 Series FOGI Racing attending testing at Circuito de Navarra Wednesday April 11, 2012 Pamplona, Spain Canadian motorcycle road racing team FOGI Racing is taking advantage of some well deserved testing time at Circuito de Navarra in preparation for Round 2 of the CEV Spanish Moto2 championship. The FOGI Racing team for the CEV Spanish Moto2 Series includes Crew Chief Toni Gruschka and Lead Mechanic Sergie Culebras who both work full time in the world championship MotoGP series but are eager to assist with Canadian based FOGI Racing throughout the 2012 CEV season. These two individuals combined with technician Javier Gutierrez also with roots in world championship Moto2 and American pilot Tommy Aquino have created a dynamic team with a bright future in the series, and beyond. The Spanish CEV Championship continues to be a stepping stone for teams and riders to enter the world championship MotoGP, the pinnacle of motorcycle road racing, of which the goals of FOGI Racing are clearly set. Piloted by Tommy Aquino, the team will be using the upcoming tests to get more familiar with the FTR Moto2 machinery and its capabilities. During Round 1 at Circuito de Jerez, FOGI Racing was hampered by unpredictable weather condions, so this test will be a great opportunity for Aquino to get more acquainted with the machine and the circuit. Andrew Murray of FOGI Racing was asked how he saw things progressing so far, “We had a great weekend at Jerez but unfortunately our result didn’t reflect our success, testing at Navarra will be a great opportunity to get some more seat time, and learn the track. We are excited about round 2 and taking part in this great new facility.” Round 2 will be held at the Navarra facility on April 20th- 21st. This will mark the first time in which the CEV Spanish Championship will have an event in the new Navarra facility which was just completed in 2010. Located just outside of historic Pamplona, Spain this world class circuit is the newest in Spain and is capable of hosting events at national and international levels. Circuito de Navarra has started to write its history, a history in line with the cultural tradition of the thrilling bull runs, a history of such extraordinary sensations, emotions and speed as those of motor sport. But in addition to the tradition of the bull runs, Navarra is also a community steeped in the automobile industry and technological development. Circuito de Navarra represents an economic and business prospect, fostering a social dynamism unique in the north of Spain. Follow FOGI Racing on Facebook and Twitter, or at www.cevbuckler.com/en.
