24 Hours of Catalunya July 5 and 6, 2008 Folch Yamaha, Floreal Ducati and Suzuki Catalá Top 3 After Six Hours A reluctant starting Ducati gave Suzuki Catalá an initial lead of 18 seconds that was erased by the intervention of the pace car after 45 minutes of the 24 Hours of Catalunya. The early running was tight between the Ducati and the Suzuki with Folch Yamaha always within 20 seconds, but in the second hour Diego Lozano crashed the Catalá Suzuki and the bike was stopped for three laps for repairs dropping the early leaders to 18th. After 6 hours of racing, virtually incident free for the lead teams with the exception of the second hour crash, Folch Yamaha has gradually pulled a lead over the Ducati, with Suzuka Catalá, still three laps back of the lead Yamaha, managing to recover one lap on the Ducati. With sunset the riders, and there are 52 of the original 57 teams still running, are now facing the long night which usually brings some alteration to the running order. 1.
