Following Fillmore Outside the Life of a Superbike Racer Temecula, CA (For Immediate Release). — After a crash in the opening practice laps at Barber Motorsports Park last year, Chris Fillmore was lucky to walk away with only a broken hand. It was Fillmore’s fast-laps in his previous race that inspired the goal to start this race at his fastest. He made it a mere 4-laps around the track before he high-sided, hitting the ground, losing control, rolling over his right side and flinging his arm into the concrete. In Following Fillmore, episode seven, we get an intimate look into Chris’ pain as he deals with the humbling experience of weekly physical therapy after a long surgery. “I knew immediately my hand was broken, there was too much pain,” Chris sighs with a glint of good-humor, while making slow reps on a hand strengthener. His forth and fifth metacarpal are broken, leaving his hand so weak it’s hard for him to fully grab the handle bar and clutch. “It’s been a slow process but it’ll come back together,” Chris says about the injury.
