FORD QUALITY CHECKED CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED BRAND RENEWS SPONSORSHIP OF AMA FLAT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP PICKERINGTON, Ohio (Dec. 21, 2006) AMA Pro Racing announced today that Ford Motor Company and the Quality Checked Certified Pre-Owned Brand have renewed the company’s title sponsorship of the AMA Flat Track Championship through the 2007 racing season. This is the third consecutive year of Ford Motor Company’s sponsorship of AMA Flat Track. According to Mike Dennis, Manager of the Ford Quality Checked Certified Pre-Owned Program, Ford’s original objectives of increasing exposure for its products, expanding sales leads and improving relationships with its customer base continue to be met by its involvement with flat track racing, the AMA’s most traditional form of sanctioned motorcycle competition. “We’re pleased with what this sponsorship has brought to the Ford Motor Company and are looking forward to continuing for our third year,” said Dennis. “Connecting ourselves to the loyal fan base that follows AMA Flat Track has been beneficial to our business objectives.” AMA Pro Racing is thankful and appreciative for Ford’s continued involvement in the championship. “Outside involvement is vital for all of the AMA’s racing properties and this sponsorship benefits not only the series itself, but thanks to Ford’s generous support of our bonus awards program, the riders, too,” said AMA Flat Track Series Manager, Bruce Bober. “We’re gratified that Ford has chosen to continue backing this series.” The 2007 season will begin on March 7 at Daytona Beach Florida’s famed Municipal Stadium short track. The season-opener is part of a back-to-back double header event held during Daytona Beach’s annual Bike Week activities. Reigning AMA GNC Singles Champion Jake Johnson is expected to be on hand to defend his title as is Ken Coolbeth, the winner of the 2007 AMA GNC Twins Championship title. Other notable riders expected to campaign both championship series in 2007 are seven-time AMA Grand National Champion Chris Carr — the winningest active rider on the circuit, as well as 2000 champion Joe Kopp.
